our sugar baby bear too. She LOVES, LOVES going to see the "duck, goose and poop." Yep, poop...don't ask me why she says that. It started when her papa told her to be careful not to step in the duck poop (that is ALL over the place, it is a park/duck/goose pond after all) and now she includes it in her sentence everytime.

She is throughly enchanted with the baby ducks and their mother teaching them how to take a bath.

She tells us she "neeeds a baby duck". I think not. Maybe another time.

Real Hope

My granddaughter...the light of my life! She loves to read and be read to. On a recent trip to Barnes & Noble she spotted this book at the entrance and snatched it up. "Need a table!", she demanded. She loves to sit at the tables and read. She didn't want to wait 'just a minute' while Gaga (me) and Papa (her granddad) looked for a minute, she needed a table right then!

So, off we went to get her a table. She held on to this book for the whole visit and really wanted to take it home, no pictures mind you. The book?

Jane Austin's Mansfield Park.

Now that gives me real hope.
